Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all core HR functions, including payroll, employee relations, HR administration, learning and development, recruitment, employee engagement, and HR systems management, ensuring optimal performance across all areas.
2. Provide expert guidance and direction to manage priorities, budgets, staffing resources, and addressing strategic, policy, organizational, and staffing challenges.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, professional standards, and legislative requirements (including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety regulations).
4. Lead the implementation of employment policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
5. Promote adherence to employment law, HR policies, best practices, and workforce development initiatives across the company.
6. Oversee a professional and efficient onboarding process to ensure a smooth and effective transition for new hires.
7. Execute the HR Strategy to ensure the alignment and achievement of organizational goals.
8. Provide coaching and mentoring to HR staff, ensuring the continuous application of professional standards and best practices.
9. Drive employee engagement and welfare initiatives, maximizing productivity and fostering leadership capability across teams.
10. Proactively identify HR trends to address key issues and allocate resources where needed.
11. Assess staffing requirements, manage the creation of accurate job descriptions, and maintain comprehensive employee handbooks.
12. Develop and implement comprehensive talent management and succession planning strategies to foster growth.
13. Structure the organization to support scalable growth, applying best practices to ensure efficiency and agility.
14. Manage the company’s employee programs, benefits, and compensation packages, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with business goals.
15. Oversee the performance review program to facilitate continuous employee development and growth.
16. Regularly mentor and guide colleagues to identify individual strengths, opportunities for development, and career advancement.
17. Ensure training and development requirements are efficiently managed and aligned with organizational goals.
18. Implement high-quality training and development programs that foster professional growth and skill acquisition.
19. Conduct annual remuneration and benefits surveys and reviews to ensure competitive and equitable compensation.
20. Define and manage relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for incentive and reward schemes.
21. Champion diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives, embedding these values within the organizational culture.
22. Provide guidance and resources to ensure team members can manage their workload effectively and efficiently.
23. Facilitate a smooth and professional offboarding process, ensuring fair treatment for all employees leaving the organization.
24. Manage HR budgets efficiently, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively to meet departmental goals.
25. Coordinate internal HR communications, ensuring consistency, relevance, and alignment with company values and strategic priorities.
26. Actively foster a workplace culture that embodies company values and strengthens organizational cohesion.
27. Exhibit leadership behaviours that reinforce company values and promote high-performance outcomes across the organization.
28. Build and maintain strong relationships, driving retention and ensuring that the HR perspective is integrated into decision-making processes.
Required Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices.
2. Proficiency in regulatory compliance, including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety legislation.
3. A comprehensive understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, workforce administration, employee engagement, payroll, reward and recognition, welfare, learning and development, and HR systems.
4. Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and motivating a high-performing team.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
6. Ability to handle feedback constructively, thrive in high-pressure situations, and confidently assert ideas and opinions.
7. Ability to interpret HR data and reports, leveraging insights to drive informed decision-making.
8. Extensive experience in monitoring and managing KPIs to drive performance.
9. Strong decision-making capabilities, with a focus on innovation and creative problem-solving.
Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a business-related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role.
3. At least 1 year of experience in a managerial capacity.
4. Fluent in both spoken and written English, with strong communication skills.
Location: Hybrid (Bradford/Leeds)
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 35-40 Hours a Week
