Job Description:
A ‘good’ school in Barnet is seeking a full-time experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have learning difficulties, behavioral problems, or physical or sensory disabilities. The position starts in April 2025 and ends in July 2025. The staff are highly supportive, and creativity is encouraged. They offer excellent staff well-being packages and career development opportunities. Both staff and children are friendly and welcoming. The school has onsite parking and good transport links. Pay starts from £90 per day.
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Deliver RWI phonics sessions
* Have experience working with SEN children
* Assess individual learning needs of pupils
* Manage challenging behavior positively
* Liaise with parents, carers, and professionals
* Supervise activities
* Work with teachers to develop bespoke, child-centered education plans
* Work with children in small groups and one-on-one
