Housekeeping Assistant
Location: Lancashire
Salary: £11.44 per hour (Enhanced Pay at Weekends)
Working Hours: 5 days over 7 including weekends, 7am to 3pm
Organization: Brainkind, a charity supporting individuals with brain injuries in the UK, using expert neurorehabilitation in assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals.
Purpose: To assist with maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the service, including laundry duties.
Key Relationships: No line management responsibilities; supports volunteers within the team.
Qualifications required: No formal qualifications necessary.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective verbal and written communication, adherence to policies and procedures, understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
Complexity and Accountability: No budget responsibilities; responsible for understanding health and safety legislation and COSHH requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily cleaning tasks as per schedules and manage laundry following supervisor guidance.
2. Ensure safety of all service users, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
3. Proper storage and use of chemicals and equipment in compliance with COSHH and safety standards.
4. Operate various cleaning equipment, report repairs, and replenish materials as needed.
5. Maintain records and adhere to national and local cleaning standards.
6. Maintain a safe working environment, uphold confidentiality, and undertake additional reasonable tasks.
