About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Chief Moderator to oversee the moderation of the following qualification on a flexible worker contract: Level 1/2 Technical Award in Health & Fitness.
The purpose of moderation is to check that centres are correctly and consistently assessing student work and that the materials submitted for moderation meet the required standard.
As Chief Moderator, you will be expected to make a judgement on the accuracy and validity of the provider and moderators' assessment decisions by continuously analysing data and evidence which forms part of the quality process in order to ensure qualification and regulatory compliance.
Moderation window begins on 17 May 2025 and ends on 31 July 2025.
How you'll make an impact:
* Recruiting, training, and performance managing Moderators across the relevant sector area
* Ensuring that quality assurance and moderation is delivered in line with qualification and customer requirements
* Ensuring the moderation team maintains compliance with all regulatory conditions relating to moderation of centre assessments
* Coordinating the day-to-day activities of the moderation team throughout the moderation window
We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:
* A minimum of a level 3 qualification in the Health and Fitness sector
* Evidence of at least 3 years working in the Health and Fitness sector
* Qualifications in assessment and internal quality assurance
* Knowledge and management of moderation processes
* Excellent report writing skills
