What You’ll be doing:
This opportunity is to join our growing commercial team as a Commercial Officer, in supporting the delivery of Hard FM and Alongside Services for Portsmouth Naval Base. This is a varied role responsible for managing a range of infrastructure projects, providing plenty of opportunity to develop your commercial career and contribute to the success of KBS Maritime.
You’ll develop, negotiate and manage low to medium value commercial proposals for infrastructure projects for Portsmouth Naval Base and provide commercial guidance to colleagues and delivery teams to ensure contractual obligations are met.
In addition to the above, the Commercial Officer shall be responsible for; monitoring contract performance, ensuring the project milestones are delivered in line with the commercial proposal. You will act as a trusted business advisor, helping to manage and monitor the relevant delivery partners and by building and maintaining good working relationships with internal functional areas, the customer, suppliers and external stakeholders.
You’ll Have:
Strong, proven experience operating in a Commercial role, with knowledge and experience of UK Defence industry Terms & Conditions. Experience of working on infrastructure projects is desirable, coupled with commercial acumen and financial awareness.
Ideally, you will be prepared to support all outputs and disciplines to achieve KBS Maritime projects and evidence a willingness to work as part of team to deliver customer requirements by supporting KBS Maritime team members and collaboratively work toward achieving customer expectations and business results
About you:
As a Commercial Officer, you’ll be well organised, have excellent verbal and written communication skills including influencing, report writing and presentation. With good interpersonal skills, you’ll additionally be capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
By remaining flexible to an ever-changing changing environment, you will employ a customer centric ‘can do’ attitude within the team ensuring that the customer’s needs are met. Lastly, you will demonstrate excellent collaboration with various internal and external customers which will be critical for creating a team delivery ethos and ethic.
