About the Role We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic Research & Development (R&D) team. This role is crucial in maintaining high laboratory standards, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and supplies, and supporting critical projects through precise and reliable testing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to communicate findings effectively, and a collaborative mindset to contribute to the success of our R&D initiatives. Primary responsibilities for this role include: Lab Maintenance and Organization: Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Manage laboratory supplies, including ordering and aliquoting key stock items. Establish and maintain an instrument booking system for lab users. Provide support to lab users, ensuring an efficient and well-organized working environment. Conducting experiments Execute experiments with scientific rigor, following defined testing plans. Collect and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in results. Data Reporting and Communication: Record and analyze test results in a clear, accurate, and timely manner. Effectively communicate findings to engineers and other stakeholders, highlighting potential project impacts. Prepare concise reports and maintain well-organized documentation for easy accessibility. Collaboration with the R&D Team: Work closely with engineers and scientists to understand project goals and testing requirements. Assist in refining and optimizing testing protocols as part of ongoing project improvements. We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience: Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field Experience: Previous experience in a laboratory or R&D environment is highly desirable. Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interpret technical information and understand the broader impact of test results. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in testing and reporting. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and tools for data recording and analysis Attributes: Methodical and thorough in all aspects of work. Proactive and responsible with a team-oriented mindset. Flexible and adaptive to the needs of a fast-paced R&D environment.
