Our client, a well-renowned chemical business based in Winchester, is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join its team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional with a strong scientific or engineering background to provide essential technical support across the UK and Europe. Technical Support Engineer responsibilities Technical Support Provide expert technical assistance to the UK & European distributor network via phone, email, and in person. Conduct distributor training, attend joint customer visits, and support sales teams with technical expertise. Develop and implement testing programs, generating supportive technical data for service projects. Manage technical support channels, including helpline calls and email inquiries. Prepare technical presentations and training materials, host webinars, and lead hands-on demonstrations. Support the resolution of product quality complaints. Represent the company at exhibitions and industry events as required. Quality Control & Document Management Arrange and provide quality control (QC) coverage when necessary, including during staff absences. Create and manage technical datasheets and documentation. Collaborate with the marketing team to produce technical articles, blogs, brochures, and PR materials. Develop case studies, application profiles, and product sales tools. Business Innovation & General Responsibilities Technical Support Engineer requirements: A science-based degree (e.g., Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering) or an engineering background. Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Full UK driving licence (required for travel to distributor sites and events). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
