Job Overview
Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester Foundation Trust, is seeking to appoint committed and compassionate radiographers to join our CT Team. The workload is varied, and we conduct many complex scanning procedures. The department has three CT scanners covering all aspects of CT scanning. We intend to increase our interventional service and provide an increased capacity for scanning and supporting lung cancer patients with the introduction of a dedicated Lung Cancer scanning unit.
The CT department consists of a friendly team who all work on a shift pattern rota, covering seven days / 24 hours. The ideal candidate should demonstrate an interest in CT scanning and have some evidence of their experience in a CT environment. This is a training post, and for those staff that are band 5 who apply, Band 6 will be achieved on the completion of the full CT competency training package.
The CT department at Wythenshawe is very busy, and we scan many patients from all areas of the hospital. You will need to work with a large team of Radiographers, including Radiologists, Radiology Assistants, and Interventional Nurses.
