Our Client based in Reading is seeking a Parts Advisor Job Title: Parts Advisor Location: Reading Salary: competitive depending on experience Benefits include: 24 days annual leave per year duvet day Carry over up to 5 days annual leave per year 1 x Life Assurance Company Pensions contribution of up to 5% Private Medical Insurance Attractive overtime rates of up to 130% Bonus Incentives and commission schemes Job role • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock audits, ordering parts as needed to meet demand without overstocking or understocking. • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage a team of parts personnel, ensuring that they meet department goals and deliver excellent service to customers and internal departments. • Customer Service: Oversee customer service activities, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Handle customer complaints or issues, ensuring satisfaction. • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with parts suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of parts. • Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and manage the department's budget, controlling costs and ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. • Compliance: Ensure the parts department complies with all safety regulations and company policies. • Sales and Marketing Support: Support the sales and service departments by ensuring they have the necessary parts to complete their jobs efficiently. • Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory status, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and departmental efficiency. • Administration: Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc. Return warranty and service exchange units regularly. Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any problems. Control VOR/Freight charge costs. Chase Supplier Credits. Any general duties as designated by the Manager. Job requirements • Current UK Drivers License • Proven experience in automotive parts management or a similar supervisory role. • Strong understanding of automotive parts, products, and their applications. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. • Proficiency with inventory management software and general computer systems. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction
