About the role The Pan-European Bodyshop Programme Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the strategy, standards, and operations of the bodyshop network across Europe for a major automotive manufacturer. The role focuses on network management, operational efficiency, partner relationships, and revenue growth, while ensuring high-quality customer service and compliance with European industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing bodyshop networks, a deep understanding of the European automotive aftersales industry, and the ability to drive innovation and performance improvement across diverse markets. Main responsibilities: European Programme Strategy Development: Develop and implement a cohesive strategy for bodyshop operations across Europe, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and regulatory standards. Lead the development and roll-out of FNOL (First Notification of Loss) solutions tailored to the European market. Manage partnerships with insurance and accident assistance providers across Europe, ensuring optimal customer service and efficient accident repair processes. Network Management & Development: Develop, audit, and approve bodyshop facilities across Europe, ensuring they meet high operational standards. Optimize the performance of the approved bodyshop network by evaluating and improving processes, with the goal of expanding coverage and ensuring consistent high-quality service delivery. Support bodyshops in achieving financial targets through targeted interventions, including estimating coaching and sales growth initiatives. Supplier & Partner Management: Manage supplier relationships, including tender processes for key partners in paint supply, parts distribution, and repair technology. Establish and maintain commercial agreements with work providers and suppliers to support repair deployment and funding, ensuring the network has the necessary resources for sustainable growth. Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers across Europe to ensure smooth operations and alignment with strategic goals. Operational Oversight: Oversee the development of paint warranty processes and cost structures, ensuring regional compliance with regulations. Lead the parts ordering, forecasting, and stock planning processes, particularly for new vehicle models, to ensure the network’s supply chain is efficient and responsive to market demands. Implement strategies to drive parts and paint sales growth across Europe, maximizing profitability for both the company and the approved bodyshops. Revenue and Performance Growth: Lead the total loss avoidance programme, reducing write-offs and increasing repair volumes to maximize profitability. Drive growth in bodyshop-related revenue streams, including parts sales and repair services, by optimizing repair retention, customer satisfaction, and service offerings. Increase repair penetration within the approved bodyshop network by identifying opportunities for business expansion and customer retention. Quality Control and Standards Maintenance: Ensure that all bodyshops within the network adhere to the highest industry standards for vehicle repair, quality control, and customer service. Conduct regular audits of bodyshop facilities to ensure compliance with company standards and European regulations, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Support the ongoing development and implementation of training courses to enhance the technical skills of bodyshop staff and ensure consistent service quality across the network. Customer Experience & Aftercare: Develop and manage customer retention strategies across Europe, focusing on delivering high levels of satisfaction through quality repairs, transparent communication, and effective aftercare services. Monitor customer feedback and adjust processes to ensure continuous improvement in the bodyshop network’s service delivery. Project Management and Innovation: Lead the implementation of innovative repair solutions, such as SMART repairs and the introduction of new technologies, to ensure the network remains competitive in a rapidly evolving industry. Drive continuous improvement projects, aiming to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction across all regions. Ideal candidate profile : Extensive experience in managing bodyshop operations and paint processes, preferably within the European automotive industry. Proven success in growing bodyshop networks, increasing repair volumes, paint and parts sales revenue, and ensuring consistent service delivery across multiple countries. Strong experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating tender processes, and establishing commercial agreements across diverse regions. Expertise in vehicle accident assistance programmes, total loss avoidance strategies, and improving customer retention through enhanced service offerings. Ability to develop and implement training programmes, coaching initiatives, and technical courses aimed at raising network performance. Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across a variety of European markets.
