This permanent position involves working day shifts. This role is ideal for an experienced time-served mechanical fitter or production aircraft fitter with a comprehensive understanding of fitting in the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities: Build and Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) adhering to agreed engineering methods and processes Maintaining compliance by ensuring adherence to quality procedures and defined processes Identifying and driving productivity and performance improvement opportunities to support cost reductions Implementing lean manufacturing processes in collaboration with the team Contributing to the continuous development of safety, health, and environmental requirements within the team's work area Supporting and advancing personal development needs to ensure task flexibility Conducting annual and interim Performance Development Reviews (PDR) with the Production Supervisor Escalating issues to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner Job Requirements: Experience in fitting, preferably within the aerospace sector Completed a recognised apprenticeship or possess equivalent experience within the skill group Extensive experience in fault finding related to production acceptance testing Beneficial experience in fuel systems, mechanical and structural components Wide skill base within a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment Understanding of lean manufacturing processes If you are an experienced Fitter looking for a new permanent role in the aerospace industry, we would love to hear from you.
