As the Head Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital's day-to-day logistics. You’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating a team of 75 staff members, including porters, drivers, security, and reception personnel. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing on-site deliveries, managing shift scheduling, and providing excellent support for hospital staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities for a Porter Manager:
* Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of porters, drivers, security, and reception staff, ensuring high performance and effective teamwork.
* Logistics Coordination: Oversee the timely and efficient delivery of supplies and materials within the hospital premises.
* Problem Solving: Address logistical and operational issues swiftly to ensure seamless service across departments.
* Compliance and Safety: Maintain compliance with hospital policies, health and safety standards, and quality control measures.
Requirements for a Porter Manager:
* Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, ideally in a healthcare or facilities environment.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of motivating a large and diverse team.
