A reputable manufacturing company in Wigan is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to become a permanent, full-time member of their team. Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance and payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely data flow between the sites and the Head Office. Your primary responsibilities will include producing payroll and month-end results, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with HR administration. You will also be the local point of contact for payroll queries and will work closely with the Finance Controller and site management team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should be AAT qualified or possess an equivalent qualification. You must have strong numerical skills, and be highly computer-literate, particularly in MS Office applications such as Excel, as you will be required to perform basic formulas and basic pivot tables. Experience with finance and payroll systems, especially SAP, is advantageous. You should have extensive experience in financial administration, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, accounts reconciliations, and payroll. Additionally, a general understanding of HR policies and processes, as well as experience in general office administration, is required. It is essential that you maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
