Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess art lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Provide engaging and innovative teaching strategies that inspire creativity in students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves.
* Work collaboratively with other teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
* Manage and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
* Maintain and update student records in line with school policies.
* Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.
* Ensure all teaching materials and resources are appropriate and available for effective lesson delivery.
Requirements:
* Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in Art, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching Art at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
* A passion for the subject and a commitment to student success.
* Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching A-Level Art (or equivalent) would be a plus.
* A background in creating or exhibiting artwork.
