Job Title: Data Analyst – Children’s Services / SEND
Location: Hybrid working (remote with occasional on-site)
Contract: 3-month initial contract (potential extension)
Day Rate: £300-£350 per day (could consider £400-450 for exceptional candidates)
About the Role:
Baltimore Consulting are partnered with a Local Authority in the South who are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support their Performance Team during a critical inspection window. You will play a key role in reviewing and improving performance frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, and preparing for the upcoming SEND OFSTED/CQC inspection.
This role offers hybrid working, with the flexibility to work remotely and occasional on-site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and enhance performance scorecards, ensuring the right KPIs and benchmarks are in place.
2. Implement and improve the performance framework, making data more accessible via Power BI and other tools.
3. Work with stakeholders across Social Care, Early Help, and SEND to ensure data accuracy and effective analysis.
4. Support statutory reporting and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
5. Assist the Performance Manager and Head of Service with data extraction and reporting needs.
About You:
We’re looking for a highly motivated data analyst with:
1. Experience in Local Authorities (LA), particularly in Children’s Services (SEND, Social Care, Early Help).
2. Knowledge of statutory inspections and the performance frameworks required for them.
3. Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and using Power BI, SQL, Synergy, and/or SCM.
4. Ability to work independently, manage workloads efficiently, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
