TeacherActive is working with an Ofsted-rated pupil referral unit (PRU) in Staffordshire, seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their team from January. This PRU provides specialized education for students who have struggled in mainstream schools due to behavioral challenges or complex social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). With a focus on small group and one-to-one teaching, the unit fosters a supportive and tailored approach to learning, enabling students to thrive academically and personally.
We are looking for a committed and passionate Humanities Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 while building strong, positive relationships with learners. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a safe and stimulating environment where pupils can regain confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their goals.
The successful candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, with experience in delivering Humanities subjects (History, Geography, or RE).
Experience working with students with SEMH or behavioral challenges, ideally in a PRU or alternative provision.
