We’re seeking a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing team of service engineers, supporting commercial clients across the West Midlands. This role requires a full UK driving licence.
About the Role
As a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer, you’ll deliver effective, efficient, and safe client services by conducting planned and reactive maintenance at client sites. This role provides the opportunity to join a nationwide team supported by an office-based team, offering reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to large commercial clients.

Hours & Location
Location: Fully mobile role covering the West Midlands
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (40-hour week). Flexibility is required for early starts, late finishes, and occasional night work
On Call: 24-hour on-call rota (maximum one week in four, Friday–Thursday)
Key Requirements
Essential:
* FM industry experience in reactive and planned maintenance for commercial properties
* Gas Safe qualifications across all commercial/industrial equipment: CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, COMCAT1-5
* Oil-Fired Heater (Oftec) certification and LPG certification
* Knowledge of building regulations and HVAC systems
* Sound understanding of health and safety obligations
* Basic plumbing and building material knowledge
* Full UK driving licence
* Asbestos Awareness certification
Desirable:
* CSCS card
* IPAF and PASMA certifications
* FGas Cat 4 certification
* Part P Electrical certificate
Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance, installation, commissioning, fault finding, and repair of commercial gas and oil heating systems
Perform planned and reactive maintenance following PPM schedules
Provide accurate timesheet and technical report submissions
Participate in a 24-hour call-out rota
Support client relationships through on-site interactions
Assist with producing quotations and escalating major issues when required
Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks
