We are delighted to be supporting our client as they seek a Finance Director.
Responsible to the Board of Directors, this role encompasses the management of finance function and supports the continued efficient, cost effective and client focused service, and plays an integral part of guiding financial strategy. You will be an advocate of continuous improvement and as part of this, implement and review of all finance processes to ensure the effective operation of the business.
You will have demonstrated a progressive career to date, and operated at a similar level, showing effective leadership capabilities. Importantly, you will have strong management skills, drive and enable top performance, and contribute positively to a successful team environment.
This is a broad and varied role and requires a 'hands on' approach.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Managing a finance team
* Active involvement in business wide reporting, process and system improvement initiatives.
* Ensure financial implications of business decisions are considered.
* Ensure maintenance and accuracy of accounting systems.
* Preparation and variance analysis of management accounts to tight deadlines
* Preparation of journals and supporting information, review of overheads journals
* Production and reconciliation of balance sheet.
* Analysis of product profitability including functional P&L; deliver weekly P&L reporting to a tight deadline.
* Weekly cash flow report
* Review payment proposals prior to bank processing to ensure invoices correctly approved & coded.
* Quarterly VAT and credit reports, other external reporting as required.
* Maintenance of stock accounting records and analysis of price variances.
* Stock reconciliations.
* Control of computerised payroll and payroll processing and reporting.
* Periodic budgeting and forecasting.
* Assist with external audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
