We are currently expanding our capabilities to admit more acute patients at the early stages of their rehabilitation journey, including those requiring tracheostomy care. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering patient-centred therapy that maximises independence, function, and quality of life. We work closely with patients, families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible rehabilitation outcomes. As part of our commitment to enhancing recovery, Woodlands has recently conducted a trial in partnership with Neural Pathways, introducing state-of-the-art advanced therapy equipment. This includes: MYRO – A versatile interactive therapy surface that enhances upper limb function, coordination, and cognitive skills. Diego VR – A virtual reality system that supports movement therapy and engagement through immersive rehabilitation exercises. PABLO – A sophisticated system designed to assess and train fine motor control, grip strength, and functional hand movements. The success of this trial has been remarkable, with positive patient outcomes demonstrating the potential benefits of these advanced rehabilitation tools, and we are hopeful that we can make these a permanent feature of our service in the future. What you'll be doing: Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), providing Occupational Therapy expertise to support comprehensive assessments, care planning, and exceptional care delivery for those in our service.
