We are looking to recruit a permanent QA Technician for our client in Coventry to assist the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining lab standards, verifying & monitoring the Food Safety, Quality Systems & Product Quality within the business through standard testing methods, to meet internal, customer & third-party requirements. The role is 4 on 4 off, 7am to 7pm, 12-hour shifts. DAY SHIFT.

Accountabilities:
1. Carry out verification and monitoring of the production process according to the requirements of the Quality and Food Safety Plan, focusing predominantly on lab-based assessments, coordinating all products for external testing whilst maintaining day-to-day lab duties.
2. Sample collection, testing, and relevant corrective action for Shelf life monitoring, Microbiological and Chemical Testing, Organoleptic Assessments, with results recorded appropriately, either electronically or manually. The individual must closely monitor the weekly & monthly budget for testing.
3. Act as a Quality and Food Safety Champion, ensuring high levels of GMP and GLP are achieved at all times, and effectively communicate any potential issues. Work with the production team to reduce customer complaints.
4. Ensure traceability throughout the production process, and complete accurate legible records accordingly.
5. Support thorough investigations of customer complaints, ensuring that Root Cause is identified and work with the production team to implement preventive actions.
6. Verify equipment according to the Calibration Plan, maintain neat legible records, and report equipment out of tolerance.
7. Verify and file Production and QA records, ensuring they are easily retrievable at all times.
Salary: £27,430 per annum
Pension: Statutory.
