Job Description
The Accountant will:
* Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner
* Process payroll accurately and on time for all staff
* Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and other creditors
* Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure receivables are collected promptly
* Reconcile accounts to ensure all payments and transactions are recorded accurately
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, ensuring that the books are balanced
* Create and manage rent statements for tenants, ensuring any rent owed is chased up
* Produce rental statements on a weekly basis
* Prepare financial reports as required by management
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed
The Successful Applicant
The Accountant will be/have:
* Experience in a similar accounting or finance role
* Able to work independently and take full responsibility for the payroll and accounting within the company
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Knowledge of payroll systems and processes
* Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
