We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food-Tech Teacher to join our team at a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school in Doncaster. As a Food-Tech Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to students with special needs in the field of food technology.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive food technology lessons to students with various special educational needs.
* Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
* Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
* Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
* Utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance learning experiences for students with special needs.
* Foster a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes social skills development and independence.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behavior.
* Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the students' care.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Specialization or experience in food technology or a related field.
* Knowledge and understanding of special educational needs and disabilities, particularly in the context of food technology education.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
