Matron
This is a great opportunity to join one of the UKs leading independent schools as we continue to invest in our matron provision across our boarding houses.
House Matrons play a pivotal role at Uppingham School and are key to ensuring the general well-being of our students. Matrons work alongside our boarding house teams to deliver excellent care to our pupils, helping them settle into school and house routines, feel happy and content, and ensure that their welfare needs are met.
The boarding houses are central to life at Uppingham School, and matrons play a crucial role within these. An Uppingham house is very much an extended home. Each boarding house aims to represent a full spectrum of the personalities, characters and talent found across the school. A matron seeks to bring out the best in each pupil, ensuring that they are treated as individuals within the boarding house.
Full time and part time positions are available for this role, working 32 weeks per year. Hours will be worked between 07:30am and 07:00pm, Monday to Saturday.
