An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated Occupational Therapist to gain experience in working within a supportive and innovative specialist eating disorder service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work alongside a senior Occupational Therapist with close supervision and support to provide occupational therapy interventions within a structured day programme. Additional training regarding eating disorders will be given.

Qualifications
Essential
* Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registration with the HCPC
Knowledge
Essential
* A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion
* Knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice, standardised assessments and their use
* Basic IT skills
Desirable
* Knowledge of eating disorder and how they may impact on functional performance.
* Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
* Knowledge and understanding of motivational theory and models of change
Experience
Essential
* Understanding of caseload management and responsibilities
Desirable
* Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in mental health settings
* Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area
* Evidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
* Evidence of promoting/supporting active user involvement and participation
