Job Description:
My Client is a Global engineering powerhouse looking for an Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing. We are looking for a driven and strategic leader to oversee our manufacturing and operational processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry regulations.
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing production, supply chain, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the business by leading teams, optimising processes, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets.
* Oversee supply chain, production planning, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.) and health & safety standards.
* Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and commercial teams to align production with business objectives.
* Monitor KPIs and operational performance metrics, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Develop and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
* Manage budgets, cost control, and operational efficiency to maximise profitability.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in an Operations, Manufacturing, or Production Management role.
* Strong understanding of quality standards, supply chain management, and lean principles.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Ability to manage complex operations while driving efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision-making.
Additional Information:
6 month inside IR35 contract (Possibility to extend) or fixed term contract.
