Position Overview
I’m seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative for a market leading defence/electronics manufacturer. The company are long standing and work on some of the most technologically advanced products for multiple countries MoD’s. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods crucial to our operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Inventory Management: Maintain orderly and accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and report discrepancies to management.
* Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack, and dispatch orders efficiently and accurately to meet customer and internal requirements.
* Warehouse Organisation: Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe at all times Implement and adhere to best practices for storage and handling of goods.
* Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in good working condition.
* Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse role within manufacturing or engineering.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and inventory software.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
* Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
