About the role:
SEN TA: We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Havering. This full-time, long-term role involves supporting Key Stage 1 and 2 students with Autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You will work alongside teachers, parents, and the SENCO to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment. This is a great opportunity to develop your SEN experience and make a positive impact on students' development.

SEN TA Requirements:
1. Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
2. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children.
3. A strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and/or other SEN areas is advantageous.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
5. A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Key Responsibilities: As an SEN TA, you will:
1. Support students with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings.
2. Assist teachers with planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN pupils.
3. Provide emotional and behavioural support to help students overcome challenges.
4. Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teachers and SENCO.
5. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children under your care.
