Main duties of the job
This exciting role has been created as part of an expansion of the Estates and Facilities team at NHS Sussex.
We are looking for a property professional to support the Head of Primary Care Estates, to ensure projects are planned and managed effectively in line with the Primary Care Estates programmes and will take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.

Job responsibilities
Supportand advise the Primary Care team in delivering estates solutions which meet therequirements of the service, within the Primary Care budget
Providetechnical and specialist knowledge in respect of primary care estatesdevelopments and support the Primary Care team in all aspects of estatesmanagement and development
Supportthe Head of Primary Care Estates with the delivery and updating of the PrimaryCare Estate programmes/projects which support the strategic aims within PrimaryCare
Supportthe Head of Primary Care Estates with the strategy for each independent localauthority and liaise with District and Borough Council Local PlanningAuthorities (LPAs) regarding the incorporation and allocation of Section 106and Community Infrastructure Levy funding.
Tonegotiate with housing developers and LPAs (District and Borough Councils)regarding housing (S106) contributions and CIL funding to deliver healthcareinfrastructure
Tosupport the Head of Primary Care of Estates or lead on S106 and CIL responsesto District and Borough Councils (LPAs)
Towork closely with the District Valuer and to provide expertise on landlord andtenant matters to ensure the ICB is achieving value for money
Tolead on the application of Business As Usual (BAU) capital/Minor ImprovementGrants or other income streams
Tosupport the Head of Primary Care Estates in the overseeing of primary careestates projects within NHS Sussex, ensuring that the relevant project plansand business cases are produced by GP applicants
Assistthe Head of Primary Care Estates with the research and development ofinnovative funding and development vehicles to enable the NHS to benefit fromnew premises using resources that have not been traditionally available to thesystem

2. Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly.

4. Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required.
5. Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
6. Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.

13. A member or associate of the RICS or educated to degree level in a relevant real estate subject or significant experience of working at a similar level in estates, project management or development.

15. Relevant post qualification experience of working in a property/estates environment including knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, valuation, rent reviews, development projects and commercial lease management
