Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract: Permanent 37.5 hour contract

Job Purpose
In this role, you will provide a transport system of scheduled transport for residents to attend outings and day trips, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Responsibilities and Activities
1. Organise and facilitate a daily transport schedule for residents in conjunction with the Outings Coordinator and Care Home Activities Team.
2. Report any vehicle defects as soon as identified and investigate findings if necessary.
3. Ensure that the Company vehicles are cleaned inside and out on a weekly basis, or sooner if necessary.
4. Ensure that all vehicles have an adequate supply of fuel and complete journey logs each time vehicles are used.
5. Ensure vehicle security by locking vehicles and activating alarms when parking.
6. Be aware of tax and MOT certificate dates and communicate with the coordinator near due dates.
7. Be prepared to work flexibly when needed.
8. Attend mandatory training as determined by the Company.
9. Comply with the Organisation’s guidance, policies, and procedures at all times.
10. Perform such duties as may be reasonably required.
11. Successfully complete MIDAS training and subsequent refresher training, and be confident in operating the tail lift.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Required:
1. A full, clean UK driving licence.
2. Good eyesight.
3. A holder of a PSV License and CPC qualification and a D1/D1E entitlement.
4. Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
5. Previous experience of driving groups of people.
6. Previous experience of using wheelchair restraint systems and vehicle tail-lifts.
7. First aid trained (or willingness to obtain qualification).
8. Previous experience of supporting people living with dementia, or with physical, developmental, behavioural/emotional, sensory-impaired needs.
