About The Role
DHL are seeking a self-motivated Transport Agent to join the team at Heathrow. The role of a Transport Agent involves maintaining high service quality on a daily basis, assisting with full yard duties, including loading and unloading freight from containers, housekeeping and monitoring of stillages. You will effectively interact with various DHL departments to support seamless business operations. This is a physically active role, which will involve pushing and pulling freight containers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Responsibility: Ensure your own health and safety, as well as that of others impacted by your activities. Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and promote a culture of safety.
- Daily Operations and Service Quality: Maintain high service quality daily, assist in full yard duties (including stillage housekeeping and monitoring), and meet all management-set targets.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Effectively interact with various DHL departments to facilitate smooth operations.
- System Use and Documentation: Use DHL systems (e.g., AS400, CALMS, NMIV) to manage shipments, ensure connections, and comply with GSOP and HMC requirements.
- Freight Handling and Logistics: Safely load and unload freight, operate warehouse machinery, use scanning systems for imports/exports, and handle all shipments with care.
- Support and Teamwork: Provide support to the Airside Logistics Yard Senior Agent, participate in team activities, attend necessary briefings, and contribute to a high-performance team environment.
- Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Follow company procedures (SSOW, GSAM), meet departmental objectives, and adhere to best practices in manual handling and uniform/PPE compliance.

About You
You’ll bring to this role:
- Driving License
