Senior Business Development Manager
Willmott Dixon is looking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Construction South region which covers the South East of England. This is an exciting time to join Willmott Dixon as we are looking to grow our business. Our ideal candidate will have strong business development skills and strong contacts across any construction related sector in the area of South London.
You will identify project opportunities across the South London region and will have a proven track record in business relationship management and development within the construction sector. This will involve taking our offering to the market with credibility and energy, whilst offering advice and direction to prospective clients. You must be able to demonstrate that you can organise and plan sales activity to align with our strategic growth plans and be able to produce accurate reports and forecasts on progress.
It is essential that you are a highly motivated and proactive individual, able to develop an in-depth understanding of the WD service offering and generate your own sales leads across our private and public sector portfolios. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Understand the WD service offering and generate own sales leads to maintain a 3-5 year pipeline of opportunities
2. Encourage sales leads to be generated by all other LCO staff.
3. Manage all allocated accounts.
4. Maintain and update the CRM to inform our marketing activities
5. Represent the business in the geographical area/sector focus to develop networks and WD profile.
6. Manage and attend all WD and industry events
7. Sell our frameworks alongside the WD offer

8. High level of verbal communication skills and networking
9. Ability to develop long term customer relationships to create growth opportunities
10. Able to identify and qualify new business opportunities in line with our strategic plan
11. Present to all levels of seniority from individuals to groups
12. Use the resources of the LCO to capture sales leads
13. Create, manage and analyse Sales &Marketing data and reporting
14. Influencing skills
15. Proven relationship management and networking abilities
16. High levels of personal energy with the ability to work both independently and as part of a passionate dynamic team.
Desirable Criteria
17. Experience of working in the construction industry and/or with local authorities
18. Degree in Business Management
Professional
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing would be advantageous.
