Our work focuses on the concept and planning stages of highway design, helping to shape masterplans, assess feasibility, and develop preliminary layouts that support the planning process.
As a Principal Highways Technician, you will play a key role in producing high-quality designs and drawings, working closely with transport planners and engineers to develop creative and practical solutions for urban extensions, commercial developments, and regeneration schemes.
What You'll Be Doing:
Producing preliminary and concept-level highway designs, access arrangements, and junction layouts using AutoCAD and associated design tools.
Working alongside transport planners to integrate highway solutions into Transport Assessments, Feasibility Studies, and Masterplans.
Leading and mentoring junior technicians, ensuring high standards in drawing production.
Engaging with external stakeholders, including local authorities and developers, to help refine proposals.What We're Looking For:
