Associate Director - Portfolio Management
Renewable & Infrastructure Private Equity
£120-140k p.a. (depending on experience) + bonus

A leader in renewable energy private equity, the firm manages a global portfolio of companies with value exceeding £9 billion. With a top tier investor base and strong track record of raising and deploying capital, it is a dominant player in onshore wind and solar investing, with recent expansions into offshore wind, energy storage, and hydrogen technologies.
The Role:
As Associate Director within the Portfolio Management team, you will manage commercial relationships with renewable energy development partners across Europe, the US, and Asia, collaborating with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives that create long-term value and growth across the portfolio. You’ll also be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring that financial, operational, and governance goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build strong relationships with developers, fund managers, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic goals.
* Oversee approximately 10 renewable energy development companies, ensuring commercial objectives and governance standards are met.
* Monitor the financial performance of assets, optimizing returns and efficiency where possible.
* Lead and motivate a dedicated team to manage the development portfolio, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with internal and external governance frameworks, identifying risks and mitigating them to protect and optimize investments.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in the renewable energy or related infrastructure private equity or fund management sectors.
* Demonstrated expertise in leadership and strategic management, particularly within energy infrastructure markets.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen, with proficiency in financial modeling, project management, and performance reporting.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
* In-depth understanding of the global regulatory environment and challenges in energy project development.
* Experience of leading and managing high performance teams.
