We are proud to be representing a large, reputable Housing Association in Tyne & Wear who are recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor on a three month temporary contract.
The role will be covering a large patch across Tyne & Wear and is all site/office based. The hourly rate is negotiable from £30 - £35 per hour on an umbrella basis.
The ideal candidate must have vast experience in damp and mould and have a strong understanding of Awaab’s Law.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Providing a proactive customer focused approach to all tenants, achieving customer satisfaction levels
* Working within one of two work streams within the maintenance function; voids and responsive and safety and compliance
* Carrying out pre and post inspections of repairs on both responsive and void properties, ensuring high quality work
* Providing technical advice and support to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors and suppliers
* Delivering a high quality, cost-effective and compliant service
* Completing contract management including progress against building works schedules
* Utilising customer insight to support the organisation in delivering on their customer promise
* Managing any damp and mould cases and helping customers combat disrepair issues in their homes
* Ensuring void re-servicing is carried out to a high standard, enabling re-let as soon as possible
* Accurately measuring materials to enable a ‘right first time’ approach
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
* Must have up-to-date knowledge of the housing sector and external factors, with a proactive approach to anticipating and preparing for changes
* Have experience being accountable for health and safety, completing required training, and addressing/reporting concerns.
* Be proactive in personal learning and development, staying current with policies and engaging with available resources
* Have a strong commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, leading by example through actions
* Must demonstrate that you ensure compliance with role-specific goals, maintaining the security and safety of people and information
Working hours:
* 37 hours per week
* Monday – Friday
