Working as part of the Operations Team, on a 37.5hrs per week, the successful applicant will be highly motivated, focused and driven and demonstrate a positive, can-do, and safe attitude together with excellent self-organisation and motivation skills.
They are looking for applicants who have good communication skills and a general understanding of IT and software packages. The candidate must have the ability to support and drive continuous improvements as well as the Health and Safety culture of the site.
Work will include supporting the Engineering team in organising the engineering stores, issuing preventative maintenance orders, and assisting in the management of contractors. Previous experience within a manufacturing process operation is preferred, but internal training will be provided. It is expected that the Engineering Co-ordinator will manage the Goods-in delivery and controlling of engineering stock.
Key job requirements
4. Manage the SAP MRP Inventories, stock control and safety stock system.
5. Organisation of engineering stores.
6. Engineering purchasing control e.g. stock and non-stock.
7. Issuing part orders and controlling receipts/documentation for new part orders.
8. Assist Engineering Manager with contractor management.
9. Issue of work orders for – PM/CM/PPM/CIL.
10. Forklift truck driving.
11. Cover aspects of the Engineering Manager’s role during his/her absence.
12. Understanding of budget control.
13. Your job title does not limit your duties and the Company may require you from time to time to undertake any other duties within your capability.
Essential and Desirable
14. Understanding and appreciation of both Health and Safety and Quality.
15. Awareness of Goods-in and stock control would be preferrable.
16. Ability to drive and improve production output.
17. Ability to perform work in a safe manner according to site standards.
18. Can-do attitude and the ability to work to deadlines and follow procedures.
19. To be able to communicate clearly with colleagues.
20. Good attention to detail.
