Role Overview:
As an EYFS Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide young children in their formative years, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence
- Assess and track children’s progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians
- Foster strong relationships with children, staff, and parents, promoting a supportive and positive school community
- Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities and school events
- Engage in professional development opportunities, receiving guidance and support throughout your ECT induction
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to complete by September 2025
- A passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with young children, parents, and colleagues
- Creative, flexible, and committed to fostering a love of learning in young children
- A proactive and positive approach to teaching, with a focus on making learning enjoyable and meaningful
