Role Overview:
The Dark Store Warehouse Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our dark store, ensuring efficient and legally compliant management of intake, pick packing, and outturn processes. You will lead a diverse team of 20-30 full-time and part-time staff, driving operational efficiency while meeting critical KPIs. You must have a passion for e-commerce and retail, with the ability to optimize operations and deliver sustainable cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driver Recruitment & Engagement: Build and maintain a strong network of drivers, ensuring seamless communication and efficient recruitment to meet operational needs.
* Operational Oversight: Manage the full dark store operation, including intake, pick packing, and outturn processes. Ensure all operations are within legal and regulatory compliance.
* Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 20-30 employees (both full-time and part-time). Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
* KPI Management: Monitor and manage operational KPIs to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Use data to make informed decisions, driving improvements and adjustments as necessary.
* Efficiency Optimization: Continuously seek operational efficiencies and process improvements. Implement strategies that lead to sustainable cost savings without compromising service quality.
* Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of accuracy in all operational areas, with a focus on numbers and reporting.
