Job Purpose
You will be part of a team of Process Controllers and Field Service Engineers who are responsible for the safe effective operation, maintenance and optimisation of Water production assets.
Working in a dynamic modern operational environment, undertaking proactive, planned and reactive activities you will contribute to the achievement of regulatory, financial, customer and key business performance targets.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Working within a clear framework of Quality Assurance and Standard Operating procedures you will be expected to develop close working relationships, to proactively identify operational problems likely to result in compliance and customer service issues and investigate and deliver actions to improve performance and efficiency of production assets. You will be responsible for:
* Manage and optimise water treatment sites along with multiple water facilities to ensure efficient operation.
* Maintain necessary skills, competence, and role-specific proficiency under the WATER LTO Scheme, while working towards an accredited qualification and completing relevant training courses.
* Complete planned cyclic tasks on schedule, document reactive tasks promptly, and review weekly performance to provide input and support.
* Deliver accurate and reliable asset performance information, analyse recurring process issues, and recommend effective solutions.
* Commit to health, safety, technical, and behavioural training standards, ensuring alignment with organisational requirements and contributing to ongoing operational improvements.
* Participation in out of hours Standby rota when fully trained.
Technical Skills & Experience
* Demonstrates resilience, self-motivation, and technical competence, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Possesses strong diagnostic, planning, and organisational abilities to support efficient operations and problem-solving.
* Capable of conveying information and data clearly and effectively across diverse audiences.
* In-depth understanding of safe systems of work, company policies, statutory regulations, and operational, maintenance, and administrative procedures.
* Extensive knowledge of water treatment processes, reinforced by job-related training and experience, alongside proficiency in systems such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, SAP, purchase cards, and specialist equipment like breathing apparatus, lifting equipment, and confined space gear.
Qualifications
* To be successful in this role, you will need to have good numeracy skills, be computer literate and able to carry out reporting and other information recording activities across a variety of platforms.
* A minimum of 5 GCSE's grades A-C or equivalent (which must include Maths, English and a Science or Technology subject).
* A Full UK Driving Licence is required to carry out this role.
