We are currently recruiting for a Senior Events Manager to lead the team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Bexleyheath.
The Role:
As Senior Events Manager, you will be responsible for incoming enquiries from conversion through to transition to the operations team for event execution and then back to sales. There will be a particular focus on incoming enquiries that are more complex, have higher numbers of guests, and are of a certain revenue value such as VIP events & groups, large city events, sporting events, and awards dinners.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Overseeing coordination, communication, and completing verbally and in writing with the customer, the Event Executive, and Sales Executive the details of an event up to the day of event execution.
2. Ensuring that all banquet event orders are completed for the hotel operations team, hosting weekly operations meetings to share information and answer questions.
3. Supporting marketing communications for conferences, meetings, & events including weddings & Christmas.
4. Sharing feedback from customers with relevant teams and creating action plans to eliminate issues going forward.
5. Working with Sales and Revenue Management to agree on sales strategies for event space.
6. Assisting the Hotel Sales Leader to drive the team with closing days, demand generation weeks, and other sales initiatives.
7. Identifying and communicating revenue and profit opportunities with the leadership team.
8. Ensuring the correct use of systems and sales processes to maintain booking integrity, consistency & accuracy.
9. Implementing Event Management strategies.
10. Training, developing, and coaching team members to support in developing the next Senior Event Manager.
11. Assisting other departments as necessary and maintaining good working relationships within the hotel.
12. Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.

This role offers an annual salary of £31,635.12, along with an annual bonus plan allowing you to earn up to 20% of your salary.
