We are excited to invite applications for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our established team at Little Brook Hospital, Dartford. About the role:
Work directly with service users in their homes and communities, providing holistic and person-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Be part of a supportive and collaborative team, contributing to the ongoing development and delivery of high-quality services.

Main duties of the job:
* Working with service users referred to Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service.
* To provide short-term specific psychosocial interventions for those who would benefit from crisis interventions.
* To contribute to the planning and implementation of induction, training, and education of students and staff.
* To provide effective supervision, support, and guidance for support/peer workers and any work delegated to them.
* Responsible for the delivery of individual care plans for a caseload.
* Expected to implement policies as directed by the trust/directorate for the department, ensuring awareness throughout the department.
* Knowledge and expertise in the application of relevant professional theoretical models and approaches relevant to client groups.
* Communicate complex, sensitive, and emotional information using a variety of mediums; being able to adapt methods/style/approach as appropriate.
* The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Training, qualifications and registration
Essential criteria:
* A recognised OT professional qualification
* Registration with the HCPC
* Trained as a practice educator with experience managing learners in the workplace
* Two or more years post-qualified experience
Desirable criteria:
* Registered member of the relevant professional body and/or special interest group
Experience
Essential criteria:
* Post-qualified experience within home treatment team
* Managing defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence-based practice, service user-centred, health promotion, and relapse prevention-oriented principles and practice
Desirable criteria:
* Experience of being involved in service developments or audits
