HR Operations Director Hybrid Working ( 2/3 days office based) Essex / East London Competitive Salary We are looking for a highly personable, and tenacious senior HR leader to help shape the future of a fast-growing international business. Our client is a rapidly expanding international business, known for their entrepreneurial spirit, agile business model and autonomous working environment. They operate globally and have an international workforce of around 400. You will be responsible for HR strategic projects, HRIS, performance appraisals, succession planning, compensation and benefits, leadership development, employer branding, reward, remuneration and retention. This is a hands-on role - you will not be successful unless you have initiative, drive and are prepared to get involved in every aspect of their operation. You need to be the sort of person who can lead by example, deliver on strategic projects and quickly gain the respect of the SME and key stakeholders. You will be supported by a small but experienced team of 10 HR professionals. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the executive team to drive the global HR agenda and contribute to business success. Devise and lead projects aimed at improving HR reporting, processes, and systems. Ensure compliance with international employment laws and stay ahead of regulatory changes in all operating regions. Working in partnership with the operational management team to ensure effective objective setting & performance reviews. Engage with and support stakeholders with the development of their international teams. Develop and champion a performance-driven culture with a merit-based performance appraisal system. Advise on recognition and reward programmes, fostering a culture of excellence. Oversee training and career development programs to ensure growth and retention. Guiding and coaching managers on all employee relations including disciplinary, grievance and performance management. Guiding and advising managers on all aspects of international HR laws and regulatory requirements. Build and lead a team of HR generalists to provide first-line HR support to the international business. About you: We are looking for a progressive career with a track record of success. You will need to have experience supporting an international business. You will also lead on policy & procedures, HRIS, and other specific projects. Ideally FCIPD or MCIPD qualified Experience of working at senior HR Manager level within a commercial environment. Hardworking, hands-on with a proven track record. Experience of working in an international business is essential. Strong IT, data management and technical skills. Outstanding presentation skills. Have the skills and credibility to effectively coach and advise directors and senior executives. Commercially minded with the ability to leverage data and logic in support of making a business case. High degree of self-confidence with the ability to challenge. Collaborative with an enabling coaching style.
