Vacancy Brief:
* The job role is that of a Housing Support Worker.
* This is a temp vacancy for initially three to five months.
* A full-time role, 37 hours per week; candidate must be flexible to work across the week.
* Shifts are, Mornings: 07:30 am – 15:30 pm and Lates: 12:30 pm – 20:30 pm.
* Pay rate for this vacancy is £13.49 PAYE or £17.09 Umbrella.
* A current Enhanced DBS covering Adult and Child workforce will be required for this job role.
* Full UK Drivers license and access to a vehicle is needed for this job role.
The Responsibilities:
* As a Housing Support worker, you will be tasked with maintaining regular contact with ’at risk’ Young People providing advice and support in relation to budgeting, maximising income, reducing expenditure, dealing with debt, managing rent arrears and welfare benefits to prevent homelessness.
* An important part of your job role as a Housing Support Worker, will be to identify and provide support to the young person liaising with and making appropriate referrals internally and externally to assist them to maintain tenancy, services are accessed, or agencies are aware of matters of concern in line with young person’s needs and in accordance with policy and procedures.
* As a Housing Support worker, you will be tasked with identifying, reporting and investigating tenancy breaches, working closely with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure tenancy sustainment and where required implementing tenancy enforcement action in accordance with policy, procedure and housing regulations.
* Furthermore, in this vacancy, you will work closely with young people to maximise income by tracking and monitoring payment schedules, recharge, rent arrears and managing voids, and addressing concerns in accordance with policy and procedures.
