A leading transport and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their Development Planning team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to major projects, working on transport assessments, travel plans, and development-related transport strategies. What you will be doing: ·Lead and contribute to transport assessments, travel plans, and transport statements for a range of development projects. ·Provide technical expertise and transport planning advice to clients, including developers, local authorities, and private sector organisations. ·Undertake junction capacity assessments and modelling using software such as Junctions 10 (PICADY/ARCADY), LinSig, and TRICS. ·Manage projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality outputs. ·Engage with local authorities and stakeholders to support planning applications and transport strategies. ·Mentor and support junior colleagues, assisting in their professional development. ·Prepare technical reports and contribute to business development initiatives. What you need to know: ·Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field. ·Strong understanding of transport planning policy, planning applications, and the development process in the UK. ·Proficiency in transport modelling software such as Junctions 10, LinSig, and TRICS. ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting findings. ·Ability to manage multiple projects, liaise with clients, and work collaboratively within a team. ·Experience in preparing public inquiries or expert witness statements (desirable but not essential).
