Job Title: Interim TUPE/HR Generalist Location: Leeds Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum Contract Type: Interim (3-6 months) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Interim TUPE/HR Generalist to join our team in Leeds. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to manage TUPE-related matters while also providing general HR support across the organization. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and play a crucial role in managing the transfer of employees and other HR processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and providing advice on general HR matters. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the TUPE process, including advising on TUPE transfers, providing support throughout the consultation process, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant. Work with external legal teams, unions, and employee representatives as needed to manage complex TUPE cases. Provide guidance to managers and employees on the application of TUPE regulations, helping ensure smooth transitions during employee transfers. Support the HR team with generalist HR duties such as recruitment, performance management, absence management, and employee relations. Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment laws. Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding for new hires and leavers during TUPE transfers, ensuring a seamless integration into the business. Assist in the review and implementation of HR processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency. Support managers with the performance management process, ensuring that all performance reviews and disciplinary actions comply with organizational policies. Maintain up-to-date records of all TUPE-related documentation, employee files, and case notes. Provide general HR support to the wider business, including advice on HR policies, employee benefits, and general workforce management. Proactively identify areas for HR process improvements and contribute to the development of new HR initiatives.Essential Skills and Experience: Strong experience with TUPE regulations and managing TUPE transfers, including providing guidance and support during the process. Proven experience in generalist HR roles, with a broad understanding of HR processes, including employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance. Excellent understanding of employment law and best HR practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrable ability to provide strategic advice on TUPE and general HR matters, managing complex cases effectively. Experience in HR systems and case management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Desirable Skills: CIPD qualification or equivalent experience (essential) Facilities Management experience (essential) Mobilising experience (desirable) Previous experience in a unionized environment.
