Role Overview
A balance of artistic vision and technical expertise, ensuring that each piece is not only beautifully designed but also ready for efficient production. Your jewellery specific CAD knowledge helps you visualise what's needed for the lost wax technique. Often customer facing, you excel at problem solving and are able to offer solutions accurately and quickly as they present themselves.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop precise 3D CAD models of jewellery based on concept sketches and client specifications.
2. Work closely with the casting team to understand and determine the correct model feed, flow and sprue support systems.
3. Adjust, refine and adapt models and their relating sprues to alloy specifics.
4. Prepare technical drawings and renderings for client presentations and production.
5. Frequently liaise with customers to offer support and advice on best outcomes.
Requirements
6. Proven experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
7. Software proficiency in Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, ZBrush or similar.
8. In-depth understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and tolerances.
9. Strong attention to detail.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
11. Capable of handling multiple projects at once while meeting tight deadlines.
