Personal Care Assistant for a lady P/T @ £17.52/hr in Norwich - FTE - £34.2k - NORWICH - NR7
Are you looking for an exciting role that is fun, diverse, and rewarding every day?
Despite my different health conditions, including autoimmune disorders, I am a 50-year-old lady with great humour and a light spirit. I have mobility issues and use a crutch some days indoors and an electric wheelchair outdoors. I am semi-retired and work as a counsellor three days a week in the afternoons. I have many hobbies, such as photography, building dollhouses, and quilting. However, I can get depressed at times.
As a Personal Assistant, you must be enthusiastic about communicating with and supporting me in a person-centred manner.
I am looking for a FEMALE personal assistant (due to the nature of personal care work) for:
1. Tuesday, 8:45 am
2. Thursdays 9 am
To complement the position of another two Personal Assistants for a permanent contract.
The schedule requested from you would be as follows:
1. Tuesdays: 4 1/2 hours
2. Thursdays: 2 ¼ hours
The jobs entail:
1. Preparing breakfast
2. Having previous experience in personal care (shower/dressing)
3. Preparing a hot meal with 'Hello Fresh'
4. Reminding me to take my medication and preparing my lunch pack for work
5. On Tuesday, it also includes social hours, which might include going out doing chores or social activities indoors or outdoors.
Details:
1. You MUST like dogs and cats as I have two very friendly cocker spaniels and two cuddly cats.
2. Working as part of a team and covering the other personal assistants when sick or on holiday is also ESSENTIAL, as and when required, on all days of the week.
3. This is an employed position organised by Social Services. The pay rate is £17.52 per hour (subject to NI and Tax deductions).
4. Using technology such as BrightHR for viewing your rota/shifts and a WhatsApp group to communicate is necessary for this job.
An interview will take place at my home when convenient for both parties. Please suggest suitable times for you (Monday or Friday PM, if possible, as I do not work then).
Before applying, you MUST complete these questions:
1. How long have you worked as a personal assistant/carer?
2. What do you enjoy most in your job?
3. Tell me about a positive experience with dogs and cats.
4. Tell me about your experience with cooking.
5. How would you describe your personality?
6. What could get in the way of you fulfilling your role?
Thank you for answering these questions. I look forward to meeting you.
