Job Title: Senior Estimator Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of water infrastructure projects, treatment plants, and related mechanical and civil works. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for water-related projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for water-related projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
* Tender Preparation: Lead the pricing of tenders and bid submissions, ensuring all estimates meet client requirements and align with project objectives.
* Project Evaluation: Assess project plans, specifications, and requirements to identify key project components and potential cost risks.
* Subcontractor Management: Obtain and analyze subcontractor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the project scope, and provide solutions or contingency plans within the estimate.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the procurement team to ensure estimates align with project objectives and budgets.
* Client Engagement: Engage with clients to clarify project specifications and ensure estimates reflect their requirements and expectations.
* Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations in the water industry.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator, preferably within the water or utilities sector.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of water infrastructure projects, treatment plants, and related mechanical and civil works.
* Technical Expertise: Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Candy, Conquest, or similar), and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
* Analytical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
* Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and tender documents.
* Qualifications: A degree or diploma in quantity surveying, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
