Your new company Working for a government ALB. As the Head of Finance, you will lead a small professional team that is responsible for the entirety of financial management and reporting.
Your new role
Monthly Management Accounts: Lead compilation, oversee meetings, draft reports.
Statutory Accounts: Compile, work with auditors, ensure sign-off and submission to Parliament.
Risk Management: Support development and maintenance of a framework aligned with government standards.
Fraud Prevention: Implement and maintain assessments and measures.
Business Planning: Lead costing, budget setting, and forecasting.
Financial Processes: Support and develop policies and procedures, review annually.
Debt Recovery: Oversee timely collection of outstanding fees.
Training and Advice: Provide financial training, procurement, project advice, and business case compilation.
Work Programme Monitoring: Track progress, report status, and actions required.
Committee Contributions: Contribute to Audit, Risk, and Assurance Committee, plan agendas, ensure timely completion of papers.
Governance Meetings: Attend various governance meetings as required.
Internal Audit: Oversee planning and reporting.
