In this dynamic role, the Paw Pals Operations Coordinator will lead the daily operations of the program, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and alignment with our vision. You'll work hand-in-hand with an amazing team, including the Paw Pals Staffing Coordinator and Learning and Development Coordinator, to bring structured, goal-driven activities that inspire both academic growth and emotional resilience in students.

This is a Permanent Part-Time (30.4 hours per week) opportunity based in Maidstone within our Paw Pals Program, MacKillop Education and Engagement Programs. The position reports to the Education and Engagement Programs Director.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
* Experience working with certified therapy dogs, preferably in an educational setting.
* Relevant qualification and experience in working with animal assisted therapies, as well as owning a qualified therapy dog with current certification and the capacity to undertake direct work with students.
* Experience working with children and young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education and an understanding of how trauma impacts on learning.
* Strong understanding of social and emotional learning principles.

Requirements
You must have:
* Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
