Job Title: CNC Setter/Operator Sliding head (Turning)
Location: Willenhall
Hours: Mon – Thurs 8:45pm – 7am
Pay Rate: £15.50 (Nightshift allowance of time and one third)
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator Sliding head (Turning) for our client in Willenhall. An accredited precision engineering business providing machined and fabricated components, sub-assemblies, tooling and prototypes. Job Scope
To ensure all products are handled, turned, and identified in accordance with Accura Working Practices and Procedures ensuring adherence to customer requirements in a safe manner conforming to all relevant Health and Safety regulations.
Running a Citizen Cincom L20E-2M3 Sliding head machine.
Quality control of the components is critical, specialist degrease process is also part of the role.
Promote continuous improvement processes to maximise stock productivity and minimise waste in all operational processes.
What’s the job?
* Setting and Operating of the CNC Multi Axis Lathe (Citizen) processing Titanium and various sized batches of components whilst maintaining the standards of accuracy and finish.
* Produce precision components to engineering drawings ensuring all tolerances of the components are met.
* Ensuring that all products are handled in the most appropriate manner to eliminate any damage, or health hazards, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Ensuring full conformance to all the identified order requirements as presented.
* Ensuring the computer-based stock control system, and all supporting documentation, is fully maintained and accurate at all times in accordance with Accura quality and working procedures and practices.
* Responsible for ensuring all stock being processed is maximised to achieve the best stock utilisation possible in adherence with Accura quality and working procedures and practices.
* Ensuring all stock and processed products are clearly identified in accordance with both Accura and customer requirements at all times.
Who can do this?
* Knowledge of CNC machine set-up, operation, preparation and cutting.
* Understanding of materials handling for all processed products in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Ability to read and understand a cutting pattern to maximise stock utilisation and minimise waste.
* Self-motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical and numerate.
* Understanding of continuous improvement philosophies.
* Understanding of the full scope of quality processes applicable to handling of materials.
